It was the first university to use a Gamma camera for animals and the first hospital in the UK to have a CT for horses. Today the Equine referral hospital has state-of the art equipment for imaging horses, including CT and MRI for standing as well as recumbent horses in additon to high-end radiography, scintigraphy and ultrasonography equipment.

The RVC also offers a service for scanning cadavers, fossils and pieces of art for research and media!
